Order and Beauty
Primary (Ages 3–6)
Primary classrooms are carefully prepared to meet the developmental needs of young children. Furniture, materials, and routines remain consistent to foster order, security, and independence. Materials are displayed at the child’s eye level and organized by subject, inviting curiosity and self-directed learning. Children freely choose their work within a structured environment and are responsible for returning materials when finished. A two and a half to three-hour uninterrupted work cycle supports deep concentration and joyful engagement.
Elementary (Ages 6-14)
Elementary classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity and wonder across all subjects. Truth, beauty, and goodness are reflected both in the curriculum and in the prepared environment. Teachers create beautiful, orderly spaces that encourage learning and reverence.
The unique environments truly reflect the special interests and needs of the students. Children continue to care for their environment ensuring that order and beauty is maintained. As children care for their environment, aid in the beautification by caring for plants, growing plants by seed, they grow in responsibility, stewardship, and respect for one another and for God’s creation.
