Welcome to Our Lady’s Montessori School! As an apostolic work of the sisters of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) we offer a Catholic Montessori education to children ages 3-12. At OLMS, children are formed spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. In addition to an authentic Montessori education, our faith formation program, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, seeks to draw children into a personal relationship with Christ.
Our Lady's Montessori School has been growing considerably over the past few years. In the spring of 2023, Bishop James V. Johnston Jr., Bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph, MO, graciously and generously offered us the opportunity to relocate our school to its new home on the grounds of St. Therese Little Flower parish in Kansas City, Missouri. We are humbled by the way Our Lord has generously provided this perfect space for our Catholic Montessori mission, which will accommodate us for years to come!

Our Mission
Our Lady’s Montessori School (OLMS) is an apostolic work of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) offering an authentic Catholic Montessori education to preschool and elementary aged children of all faiths and backgrounds. We meet the needs of the whole child: spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social and facilitate a personal relationship with God especially through the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
Our Goals
Apply the Montessori approach, facilitating growth of the whole person; spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Develop an internal motivation and a love of learning.
Foster a sense of independence and interior freedom within the child, allowing the child to continue God’s work and spread the Kingdom of God.
Foster the ability of each child to live in a classroom community with others. .
Serve the materially and spiritually poor in the community.
Bring students and families into communion with God through discipleship of Jesus through Mary.
Our Catholic Montessori programs
PRIMARY PROGRAM
For children 3-6 years old. A Catholic Montessori educational program for preschool to Kindergarten aged children.
Lower ELEMENTARY PROGRAM
For children 6-9 years old. A Catholic Montessori educational program for 1st through 3rd grade children. .
Upper ELEMENTARY PROGRAM
For children 10-12 years old. A Catholic Montessori educational program for 4th through 6th grade children.
